Exchange Area Delays tab

Configuration Gate Gates Gates view Gate form Exchange Areas Serviced tab Gate-Exchange Area form Exchange Area Delays tab

The Exchange Area Delays tab displays the exchange area delays associated with the selected gate. An exchange area delay specifies the number of seconds N4 delays activating the work instruction in XPS for a gate transaction.

Use exchange area delays if you don't know when a truck will arrive at an exchange area from a gate stage and if it will take a while for the truck to travel to an exchange area. For example, if you don't have pedestals at an exchange area to indicate when a truck arrives, you may want to delay activating the work instructions from the gate, especially if it takes a while for the truck to travel to the exchange area. The goal is to activate the work instruction when the truck arrives at the exchange area so that the straddle carrier does not get the container early and then waits for the truck.

If you use PrimeRoute and define exchange area delays in N4, you must set the XPS setting PRGATE to Y.

You can add, edit, or delete exchange area delays assigned to the selected gate.
